PDP died after losing its godmother, godfather – Victor Umeh
Former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Sir Victor Umeh, on Tuesday said
the former ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has no moral ground to be crying over any form
of injustice. Umeh declared that the party was dead, having lost its god-mother and god-father. He said on the contrary, the PDP, should bury its head
in shame, just as he described the party’s 16 years administration as the worst in the history of Nigeria’s
democracy. Addressing journalists in Enugu, Umeh said “what PDP did to Nigeria in 16 years is the greatest disservice to democracy.”
The APGA chieftain maintained that even though he won the election, the PDP manipulated the process with
impunity and used the Independent National Electoral Commission to declare Ekwunife the winner.
While mocking the PDP over its complaints on the outcome of the Kogi and Bayelsa governorship polls,
Umeh said, “even though the All Progressives Congress, APC, has not been brutal as they were, the PDP members are now weeping.
