Buhari can’t Islamise Nigeria – PFN
The Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Abia State chapter, Reverend Theophilus Anyimson, has disproved the notion in some quarters that President Muhammadu Buhari came to power with a hidden agenda to Islamise Nigeria.
Anyimso, who also doubles as the Superintendent of the Umuahia Central District of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, stated this on Thursday in Umuahia during the inauguration of the church’s project.
He said that Nigeria was too large a country and occupied an important place in God’s agenda that no single individual could unilaterally alter God’s plan for the country.
He said,: “Nobody can Islamise Nigeria.
Anyimson explained that the church project was aimed at multiplying the membership of the church in Nigeria in the next 10 years through aggressive evangelism.
One of the guest speakers, Evangelist Edwin Okpara challenged Christians not to feel comfortable when only about 2 billion out of the approximately 7 billion world population were Christians.
He said that the fate of unbelievers in eternity should be a source of concern to Christians even as he advocated aggressive evangelism to win souls.
Adding his voice, the Missions Coordinator in the district, Rev. Henry Emelike, urged every member of the church to win one soul each year for the 10-year project while each church should endeavour to plant another church every year.
